The day-long workshop will feature Jamē Anderson, Ivan O’Garro, Chris Wood and Sarah Ghorbanian 
Learn to successfully manage any planning, building or capital project. SmithGroup's cultural experts will present a step-by-step process that takes you from project inception through opening day and beyond. Along with partner experts from Chora Creative, Clark Construction, Cumming Cost Consultants, Gallagher and Associates, and a special guest keynote from Wes Mosman Block, the deputy director of the future Wisconsin History Center. The team will review best practices and common pitfalls in museum projects. Advanced registration and additional fee required.

At A Crossroads: Diversity and Inclusion in Architecture and Museums

This panel discussion will examine the impacts of greater racial, cultural and gender inclusion in architectural practice and the design of cultural spaces. Joining Ivan O’Garro on the panel are Malcolm Davis and Jared Serwer of Perkins&Will and Burt Pinnock of Baskervill.

Integration of the Oldest Synagogue in Washington, DC into a New Museum

A case study of the soon-to-open Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. The new museum institution incorporates a c. 1876 synagogue structure that has resided in two previous locations in the city. Presented with Vance Freymann and Jack Trainor of Consigli Construction, as well as Andrew Coulomb, chief operating officer of Capital Jewish Museum.
