Great Lakes Now - Chicago's Battered Beaches

In early 2020, a massive storm whipped up 23-foot waves that ravaged Chicago's Lake Michigan shoreline. Following the event, the Chicago City Council called for "climate mobilization." Waterfront engineer Mark Wagstaff was invited to appear in a segment of "Great Lakes Now" to address damage to the lakefront and share how SmithGroup is working with the Chicago Parks District to repair the destruction and prevent additional shoreline damage in the future.
